Character Education

Character Traits of the Month

At Walt Disney, we focus on a different character trait each month. Students who are caught being good and demonstrating one of these character traits may earn a "Wow" slip for a chance to eat lunch with the principal. Our character traits are:

September: Cooperation
October: Respect
Nov/Dec: Caring/Fairness
January: Organization
February: Trustworthiness
March: Responsibility
April: Friendship

Speak Up, Be Safe

Walt Disney is participating in the "Speak Up, Be Safe" curriculum for the first time during the 2015-2016 school year. Facilitators from the Child Abuse Prevention Council of Contra Costa County will visit each first-fifth grade classroom twice this year. Parents can learn more about the program and view their child's grade level curriculum by clicking here
